ABOUT
Lanna
Sawadee Ka, my name is Lanna, and I am the co owner and managing director of Northern Thai Escapes. I am a TAT licensed tour guide with nine plus years experience providing tour services throughout Thailand. I have had the pleasure of working with many different sized groups ranging from the US military Cobra Gold personnel to single families. I love my job very much, as I get to meet people from many different cultures and backgrounds. It is especially rewarding to show them my country, to share my culture with them and to make sure that their time spent in Thailand was the enjoyable experience that they were seeking.
Gin Gin
Gin Gin was rescued a few yeas back and became pregnant with her beloved child. This is a picture of when she was pregnant ready to pop. Her favorite foods are leaks and bananas. She recently gave birth to little MegaTron last year and they have been happily living in this wonderful sanctuary ever since.
MegraTron
This little guy is our latest addition. At only 1 year old he has grown quite a great deal. MegaTron is playful and really enjoys head scratches. But watch out, he’s a mischievous type. When your not looking he will spray you with water. He likes to run around the camp burning off his seemingly endless amount of happy energy.
Thore
Thore is our eldest rescue. He is the leader of the pack and respected by all the others in the herd. He has a gentle disposition while giving off a wise intelligence about him. Where ever he goes the others will surly be behind him. He knows where the good food is. He loves to eat right out of peoples hands. and give gentle hugs with his trunk.
Achilles
Achilles is the second youngest male to be added to the herd. He is an African elephant. He was rescued from poachers in West Africa and needed surgery for his back heel due to the altercation with the bad man. We thought it playfully fitting to nick-name him after Achilles from Greek Mythology.
